State (country) synonymous to a country and represents a formal religion in which the government has sovereighty or control of its own affairs within its territoral boundaries.
Nation-state territorial boundaries encompassing a group of people with a shared ethnicity.
Nation a shared group of people with the same ethnicity.
Multi-National State a state that includes many borders in its state, the United States is an example of multinationonal state.
Stateless Nation a large group of people sharing a common culture,language,and their backstory.
Compact state a country whose borders are roughly equidistant from its center.
Elongated state a country with a long and narrow shape, where one dimension is significantly greater than the other.
Prorupted states countires with a compact main body and a long, narrow extension.
Perforated states a country that completely surrounds another independent state.
Fragmented states a country made of several disconnected land peices.
Landlock states geographical areas completely surrounded by other land.
Regime a system of government that determines access to public office
Democratic Regime a system of government where the power is vested in the people.
Authoritarian Regime a form of governmentwhere power is highly concentrated in the hands of a single leader or a small group.
United Nations a global body of 193 member states.
NATO North Atlantic Treaty Organization.
Federal State a system of government where power is divided between a central national government and regional governments.
Unitary State a system where a strong central government holds ultimate authority.
Gerrymandering the manipulation of an electoral constituency’s boundaries so as to favor one party or class.
The Kurds a large state-less ethnic group primarily in-habiting a mountanious region called Kurdistan.
German Unification the political procces that created the german empire.
Italian Unification the 19th-century process of consolidating the various independent states of the Italian peninsula into a single nation-state, known as the kingdom of Italy.
