plantation a large farm specializing is cash crops
indentured servant a person contracted to work for 5-7 years in return for their journey to the colonies.
slave a person who was taken against their will and forced to a life time of servitude
town common the center of a New England village
Apprentice a person who learns a skill or trade from a professional
Import goods brought in from other locations
Agriculture the business of farming and/ or raising live stock
Colonial Assemblies colonist elected, to speak on behalf of the people, to make laws for the colonies
Royal Governor a leader appointed by the king to enforce British rule in the colonies
Surplus an extra supply of goods
Merchant a person who buys and sells goods a traveling trader
Natural Resources things found in nature that are beneficial to people,
colony a territory settled by people from another country and controlled by that country.
