Cerebrum Largest part; controls thinking, senses, and voluntary movement.
Cerebellum Coordinates balance and movement.
Brain Stem Controls basic life functions (breathing, heart rate).
Pons Helps with breathing and sends signals between brain parts.
Medulla Oblongata Controls heartbeat, breathing, and reflexes.
Parietal Lobe Processes touch, temperature, and spatial awareness.
Occipital Lobe Vision center.
Frontal Lobe Decision-making, planning, personality, movement.
Temporal Lobe Hearing, memory, and language
Motor Cortex Controls voluntary muscle movement.
Sensory Cortex Processes touch and body sensations
Corpus Callosum Connects the two brain hemispheres.
Pituitary Gland “Master gland”; controls hormones.
Thalamus Relay station for sensory information.
Hypothalamus Regulates hunger, temperature, emotions, hormones.
Hippocampus Forms and stores memories.
