Volley ball

Volleyball was created by William G. Morgan at the College of Springfield in Massachusetts.
William G. Morgan combined the sports of tennis, handball, baseball and basketball and came up with the sport known today as volleyball.
The object of the game is to keep the ball up on your team’s side of the net while at the same time trying to put the ball down on the other’s team side
The ball can go over the net after 1,2, or 3 touches.
The ball must go over the net on the 3rd touch.
Volleyball matches are played to 25 points, win by 2 points.
You can use any body part to keep the ball in play You can use any body part to keep the ball in play
Players will rotate once they have gained possession back after losing possession.
Forearm Pass (bump)
We use the forearm pass when the ball is below our shoulders
We use the set when the ball is above our shoulders
A serve begins the game, is done after every point and everyone on the court must serve. You may use an overhand or underhand serve
Violations in Volleyball (things you cannot do) The ball hits the ceiling and then goes over the net. The ball would be considered out of bounds. More than 3 touches or hits on a side before the ball goes over the net Touching the net with your body. Hitting the ball out of bounds. Helping a serve
