| Cubic (Isometric) | Four 3-fold rotational axes. |
| Tetragonal | One 4-fold rotational axis. |
| Hexagonal | One 3-fold or 6-fold rotational axis. |
| Trigonal (Rhombohedral) | One 3-fold rotational axis. |
| Orthorhombic | Three 2-fold rotational axes. |
| Monoclinic | One 2-fold rotational axis or one mirror plane. |
| Triclinic | No rotational axes of symmetry. |
| Cubic (Isometric) | a = b = c ; α = β = γ = 90° |
| Tetragonal | a = b ≠ c ; α = β = γ = 90° |
| Hexagonal | a = b ≠ c ; α = β = 90° , γ = 120° |
