What are two characteristics of feline reproduction? 1. Females typically isolate themselves from others in dens while giving birth to young. 2. Smaller species typically have gestation periods of 60 days while larger species being in excess of 110 days.
What are two characteristics of lions? 1. Short lifespan of ~8 years for males and ~14 years for females (in the wild). 2. Female lions hunt in packs, predominantly at night.
What are two characteristics of mountain lions? 1. Subspecies increases in size as you near the poles. 2. Dispatch prey via strangulation or breaking the neck with jaws.
