General Vocab for the Holocaust

allies a country that has agreed to help and support another country, especially in case of war; the group of countries during WWII that fight against the Nazis.
annex to take control of a country or region, especially by force
antisemitism hate towards or unfair treatment of Jewish people
collaborators people who work with other people to create, produce or do something.
deport to remove someone from a country
Europe the continent north of Africa and west of Asia.
forced labor hard physical work that someone is forced to do, often a slave or prisoner.
ghetto an area of a city pr town where certain people are forced to live, often in bad conditions.
government a group of people who are responsible for controlling a country or a state
Adolf Hitler the leader of the Nazi Party and Germany during WWII.
immigrate to come and live permanently in a country after leaving your own country
inferior not as good as something else
Jews people who practice Judaism or consider themselves Jewish through tradition, culture or heritage
liberate to free a country or person from the control of someone else
murder the crime of killing someone intentionally
Nazis members of the National Socialist German Workers' Party, the racist and antisemetic political party led by Adolf Hitler; held power in Germany from 1933 to 1945 (end of the war)
persecution act of treating somebody in a cruel and unfair way, especially because of their race, religion, or political beliefs.
policy a plan of action agreed or chosen by a political party, business, or other organization.
rabbi spiritual leader or teacher in Judaism
swastika symbol of the Nazi party
systmatic something that is done carefully and in a certain order.
