Underdelegation The failure to delegate when appropriate, which reduces workflow efficiency and impacts team performance.
Overdelegation The assignment of excessive tasks to support staff, which compromises safety, quality, and workload balance.
Improper delegation Delegation of tasks outside the scope of practice of the assistive personnel, creating safety and compliance risks.
Which tasks cannot be delegated to assistive personnel Initial assessments, patient teaching, nursing judgment, and care planning activities.
