Where does filtration occur in the kidney? In the glomerulus
What is the functional unit of the kidney? The nephron
 What is the primary force that drives filtration? Blood pressure
What happens during tubular reabsorption? Useful substances like water, glucose, and ions return to the blood.
What happens during tubular secretion? The kidney removes wastes like H⁺, drugs, and toxins from the blood into the filtrate.
 What hormone increases water reabsorption? ADH
What hormone increases sodium reabsorption? Aldosterone
What hormone promotes sodium and water loss? ANP (Atrial Natriuretic Peptide)
What activates the renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system (RAAS)? Answer: Low blood pressure or low blood volume
What does angiotensin II do? Vasoconstriction + stimulates aldosterone + increases blood pressure
What organ regulates CO₂ levels? The lungs
