hypothalamus Regulates secretions of the anterior pituitary gland through hormones and action potentials

Posterior pituitary gland part of pituitary gland that stores and releases hormones made by the hypothalamus
Pineal gland endocrine gland that produces melatonin that helps regulate sleep/wake cycle
Thyroid gland large gland in the front of the neck, it secretes hormones which regulate growth and metabolism
Ovary The female primary sex organ; produces female gametes (ova) and secretes estrogen and progesterone.
Testes male reproductive glands, which produce sperm and testosterone
