QuestionAnswer
What is the main function of the Kidneys? They filter blood, remove waste, balance electrolytes, and regulate pH.
What are the three steps of urine formation? Filtration, reabsorption, and secretion .
What is acidosis? A drop in blood pH below 7.35.
What does the respiratory system do during acidosis? It increases breathing rate to remove co2 and raise pH.
What is the primary role of the digestive system? To break down food, absorb nutrients, and remove solid waste.
What organ reproduces bile? The liver
What enzyme begins the digestion of carbohydrates? Amylase
What is ATP The cell's main energy molecule.
What is the function of the endocrine system? It releases hormones to regulate body processes.
What is ovulation? Releases of an egg from the ovary around the middle of the menstrual cycle.
