| What are the two divisions of peripheral nervous system. | Afferent (sensory) division and Efferent (motor) division. |
| What are the two divisions of the autonomic nervous system. | Sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous systems. |
| What receptor is responsible for pain? | Nociceptor are free nerve endings found in skin pick of pain sensations. |
| What is the purpose of sensory receptrors | the help the body respond to stimuli caused by changes occurring in our internal or external environment. |
| What is proprioception? | This is the muscle sense that tells each moment the level of contraction and stretch of our skeletal muscles. |
| What are the principles of hormone action. | They target cells and bind to them, signal transduction and can combine hormone actions through synergism, permissiveness, and antagonism. |
| What is the purpose of the SA node | The SA node is considered the pacemaker of the heart. It initiates each heartbeat and sets its pace. Specialized cells in the node uses an intrinsic rhythm. |
