Feeding Methods

| Nasogastric Tube Feeding (NGT) | A tube that passes through the nose to the stomach |
| Gastrostomy Tube Feeding (GT) | A tube placed directly into the stomach |
| Percutaneous Endoscopic Gastrostomy (PEG) | A specific method of placing a gastrostomy tube |
| Surgical gastrostomy | A method of placing a tube into the stomach via surgery |
| Jejunostomy Tube Feeding (J-Tube) | A tube placed into the jejunum (part of the small intestine) |
| Total Parenteral Nutrition (TPN) | Nutrition delivered through a central venous catheter that provides complete nutritional support |
| Peripheral Parenteral Nutrition (PPN) | Partial nutritional support delivered through a peripheral vein, used short-term because it cannot handle highly concentrated solutions. |
