Electicty

Electric force the force between charged objects
Electric field a region around a chaged object where the electric force is exerted on other charged objects
Static electricity the buildup of charges on an object
Conservation of charge charges are neither created nor destroyed, only transferred
Friction transfer of electrons from one uncharged object to another by rubbing the objects together
Conduction the transfer of electrons from one object to another through direct contact
Induction redistributing the charges on an object without direct contact
Polarization redistributing the electrons within the individual atoms of an object
Static discharge the loss of static electricity when electric charges transfer from one object to another
Electric current continuoius flow of electric charges through material
Electric circuit a complete unbroken path that charges can flow through
Voltage the difference in electric potential energy per charge between two points in a circuit
Parallel circuits different parts of the circuit are on separate branches, there are several paths for the current to take
Series circuits all parts of the circuit are on one path, there is only one path for the current to take
resistance the measure of how difficult it is for charges to flow through an object
