QuestionAnswer
What is the main site of nutrient absorption? The small intestine.
Which enzyme breaks down carbohydrates? Amylase.
Where does gas exchange occur in the lungs? In the alveoli.
What gas do we breathe in, and what gas do we breathe out? We breathe in O₂ and breathe out CO₂.
What is the primary function of the lymphatic system? To return fluid to the blood and help fight infections.
What organ filters lymph? The lymph nodes
What is the heart’s main job? To pump blood throughout the body.
Which blood vessels carry blood away from the heart? Arteries.
What gland is the “master gland” of the endocrine system? The pituitary gland.
What are the two major parts of the CNS? The brain and spinal cord.
