Lymphatic system The lymphatic system is a circulatory system made up of lymph vessels, which are much like blood vessels. It drains extra fluid (called lymph) that has passed out of the blood and into tissues and returns it back to the blood.
Digestive system Digestive system, series of organs that break down food into nutrients for energy, growth, and repair. Includes the digestive tract (mouth, esophagus, stomach, small and large intestines, and anus) accessory organs like the liver, pancreas, gallbladder.
integumentary system The integumentary system is the body's outer protective layer, composed of the skin, hair, nails, and glands
Cerebral Cortex The cerebral cortex is the outer, gray matter layer of the cerebrum that is responsible for higher-level functions like thinking, language, and memory
Meningeal Coverings The meningeal coverings are the three protective layers of membranes that surround the brain and spinal cord: the outer dura mater, the middle arachnoid mater, and the inner pia mater
Reproductive system reproductive system is the body's collection of organs & glands that produce offspring by creating sex cells (gametes like sperm and eggs) and hormones, allowing for sexual reproduction and the development of secondary sexual characteristics
circulatory system The heart, blood, and blood vessels combined are referred to as the circulatory system.
Pulmonary arteries pulmonary arteries are blood vessels that carry oxygen-poor blood from the right side of your heart to your lungs
Plasma plasma is the clear, yellowish, liquid component of blood that makes up about 55% of its volume. 91.5% water and carries blood cells, proteins, hormones, nutrients, and waste products throughout the body.
metabolism Metabolism is the sum of all chemical processes in living organisms that convert food/energy into cellular building blocks and energy for life, growth, and repair, involving two main parts: catabolism and anabolism
