aorta main artery of the body
left ventricle The heart powerful main pumping chamber
Right ventricle A chamber of the heart that receives deoxygenated blood
Left atrium One of the four chambers of the heart that receives oxygenated blood
Right atrium A chamber of the heart that receives deoxygenated blood
Coronary artery Blood vessels that branch off the aorta
Apex Appointed bottom left tip of the heart
Superior vena cava Large vein that carries deoxygenated blood the upper body to the heart
Inferior vena cava The bodies largest vein and main blood vessel
Pulmonary artery The artery that carries blood from the right ventricle to the lungs
Pulmonary veins Blood vessels that carry oxygen rich blood from the lungs back to the heart
Cordae tendinea A tough tender of chords that connect to the hearts mitral
Papillary muscles Muscles in the hearts ventricles that work as valve flaps
Septum Dividing wall in between nostrils
Tricupsid valve A three leaflet t valve on hearts right side
Bicupsid and mitral valve Two leaflets between left atrium
Aortic semilunar valve A heart valve that is located between the left ventricle and aorta that allows oxygenated blood
Pulmonary semilunar valve A one-way valve between right ventricle and pulmonary artery
Brachiocephalic artery A major blood vessel from the right side of the arch that supplies support to the head, etc.
Left main coronary artery A major artery that supports the heart muscles with oxygenated blood
Left interior descending coronary artery The largest coronary artery and supplies blood to the front bottom and left side of the heart
Circumflex coronary artery Major branch of left coronary artery that wraps around the heart
Left posterior descending coronary artery A branch of coronary arteries that supplies blood to the heart
Right coronary artery A major blood vessel that originates from the aorta and wrapped around the heart to support and supply oxygen rich blood
Posterior descending coronary artery Supplies the posterior third of the interventricular septum.
