TermDefinition
Gynecology The medical specialty that focuses on the study of the female reproductive system and disorders affecting it.
Gynecologist A physician who specializes in diagnosing and treating conditions of the female reproductive system.
Endometriosis A condition in which tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows outside the uterine cavity, causing pain, inflammation, or infertility.
Amniocentesis A prenatal procedure involving the surgical puncture of the amniotic sac to withdraw fluid for testing of fetal health or genetic conditions.
Cervicitis Inflammation of the cervix, often caused by infection, irritation, or sexually transmitted diseases.
