Craniorachischisis a failure of the skull and vertebral column to fuse during fetal development
Hyperspadias urethral opening on the dorsum of the penis
ASD A whole in the wall between the top chambers of the heart
tetralogy of fallot A congenital anomaly that consists of four defects
Eclampsia A serious form of hypertension secondary to pregnancy
Cerclage Suturing the cervix closed to prevent a spontaneous abortion
cyptorchidism the condition in which the testicles fail to descend into the scrotum before birth (undescended testicles)
Apgar The name of the test babies get right after birth
VBAC Delivery of a infant vaginally following a c-section birth
Pelvimetry the measurement of the female pelvis, specifically its dimensions, to assess the space available for a fetus to pass through during birth
microtia A condition of abnormally small auricles(ears)
agalactia a condition of inability to produce milk after birth
PDA an abnormal opening between the aorta and pulmonary artery
Syndactyly condition of the joining of fingers and toes
Polydactyly Condition of more than five fingers or toes
Talipes (clubfoot) twisting of the foot
spina bifida occulta Congenital malformation of the bony spinal canal without involvement of the spinal cord
