Describe the Geography of Mesopotamia? It is by the Tigris and Euphrates river and located in Asia.
What is the Fertile Crescent? The Fertile Crescent is a semi-circle in the middle of the Persian golf and Tigris and Euphrates river.
What two bodies of water go through the Fertile Crescent? Euphrates and Tigris river.
What do the two rivers leave on the land to help crops grow? Silt
What forms of irrigation were used in Mesopotamia? Dams,levees,ditches,dikes,gates,canals.
What was a ziggurat? A ziggurat is a religious statue.
What is a merchant? A merchant is someone who sells and trades stuff.
What is a division of labor(specialization)? Different jobs
Where was Hammurabi king and what is he known for? Hammurabi was a babylonian king that was known for making a code of law that was the first legal code in human history Hammurabi built a strong central government and personally supervised tasks for mesopotamian to do to keep Mesopotamia safe and nice.
What is a city-state? A city-state is a state with its own government and kingdom.
What is Cuneiform? It is a writing system with Symbols to represent sounds, written on clay tablets, stylus made wedge shaped impressions.
Describe some irrigation systems from Mesopotamia? The canals, ditches and dams were used from the Tigris and Euphrates river and they helped them by now having a surplus of food.
