A rectangle is enlarged using a scale factor of 1:5 its original dimensions are 8cm by 6cm find its new length and new width 8 x 5 and 6 x 5 so now we have 40 and 30 so our new length is 30cm and our new width is 40cm
What does opposite sides mean? It if the sides across from each other are the same ... for example on a rectangle the sides across/opposite from each other are equal, so yes a rectangle has opposite sides .
What does opposite angles mean? It means if the opposite sides are equal... for example on a parallelogram the opposite angles are the same because when you look at the angles that are across/opposite from one another they are equal so yes it has opposite angles
What is a right triangle? Its a triangle that has one right angle
What is an isosceles triangle? Its a triangle where 2 angles are the same 2 sides are the same.
What is a scalene triangle? Its a triangle that doesnt have the same sides or angles .
What do the angles of a tessellation have to add up to? 360 degrees.
What does a "regular" shape mean? It means that all of the side lengths and all of the angles are the same.
How do you find a singular interior angle in a regular shape? By taking the sum of the interior angles and dividing it by 5.
How do you find the sum of interior angles? (180) (number of side lengths - 2) keep in mind ()() beside each other means multiply.
