Refrence To metion or bring attention to - verb. I refrenced Albert enistien when describing the importance of science and math.
Alliteration The occurence of the same letters or sound at the beginning or end of closly sounded words - Noun. Sally sold sea shells on the Sea shore.
Allusion An indirect reference to a well-known person, place, event, literary work, or piece of art - Noun. Your a regular enstien.
Hyperbole Exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally - Noun He cried a river of tears.
Imagery Language that appeals to the senses to help the reader image a text or an event like the author did - Noun. The text uses imagery to provide a image of the berlin wall.
Metaphor The comparison of two things without using like or as - Noun The world's a stage.
Onomatopoeia Noises or sounds that associate with what it is named with - Noun ZzzZzz, the farmer is fast asleep.
Personification Gives human qualities or abilities to inanimate objects, animals, or ideas - Noun The sun smiled down at us.
Simile The comparision of two objects using like or as - Noun He is as busy as a bee!
Credible A reliable resource the writer can use to cite information - Adj. A credible source to help you in writing is grammerly.
Relevant evidence Facts, details or examples that show the writers reasoning - Adj/Verb. In a personal injury case, the victim's medical records detailing the extent of their injuries are relevant evidence.
Malfunction - mal When something is functioning badly My toy car once was malfunctioning
Paragraph - para a distinct section of a piece of writing, usually dealing with a single theme and indicated by a new line, indentation, or numbering - Noun. I wrote a paragraph on Trains.
Permit To allow - Verb/Noun I permit my friend to use my locker.
Release To let go; the act of letting go - Verb/Noun I released the prisoner from jail.
Contact Connection: Communication; To communicate with - Noun/Verb I got in contact with Mr.Beast!
Covetous Greedy and Jealous - Adj. I was covetous, and took all the money for myself.
Morose Gloomy; ill-tempted - Adj. I feel morose today.
Resolute Determined - Adj. I was resolute to get the crown.
Impossible Disagreeable; Unreasonable - Adj. I was told to fly to get some money, but I know it is impossible.
Malcontent A person who is always unhappy - Noun The malcontent boy always complainted on even the smallest things.
Miser Someone who is grumpy and cranky, and refuses to spend money - Noun The miser was a grumpy man who was always greedy.
Parallel Having the same direction or nature - Adj. The lines were perfectly parallel.
Altered Changed - Adj. He altered my ways after he found out stealing was bad.
Strive Make a great effort; Trying very hard - Verb I would strive to build a school, and eventually it worked out!
Dispelled Driven away; scattered - Verb I was dispelled in a mall, I couldn't find my mom for a few seconds.
Earnest Serious and heartfelt; not joking - Adj, I am earnest that you will get a gift.
Infinitely Enormously; remarkable - Adverb I got him a gift, and infinitely more, got him a present for next chrismas.
