Dermis the deeper of the two major layers of the skin, composed of dense fibrous connective tissue interspersed with glands, nerve endings, and blood vessels
Albinism recessive, inherited condition characterized by a lack of the dark brown pigment melanin in the skin, eyes, and hair.
Cleavage Line pattern of dense bundles of white collagenous fibers that characterize the reticular layers of dermis
Adrenal gland endocrine gland that rests on the top of each kidney, made up of cortex and medulla regions
Angiotensin I sub-stance formed by conversion of angiotensinogen by renin
Anabolic Hormone hormone that stimulates anabolism in the target organ
Atrium one of the upper chambers of the heart; receives blood from either the systemic or pulmonary circulation
Artery vessel carrying blood away from the heart
Inotropic refers to any-thing that affects the strength of myocardial contractions
Mean Arterial Pressure average blood pressure in the arteries used to determine perfusion pressure to the organs
