TIA transient-temporary, ischemic-lack of blood flow. TIA and stroke- TIA is just ischemia, stroke is ischemia and infarction of brain cells, TIA- blocking blood flow in the brain
Ischemic stroke Blockage in arteries of the brain causes cells to die. Types of ischemic stroke- thrombotic and embolic. Thrombotic-blood clot that develops at the artery in the brain. Embolic- blood clot/fat/air/fluid piece of debridement that breaks off and travels
Hemorrhagic stroke blood vessel or artery that ruptures and you have bleeding in brain tissue
risk factors for stroke smoking, high bp, heart condition, high cholesterol, atrial fibrillation.

gallstones common in women, high cholesterol, overweight, multiparady, oral contraceptives
Hepatitis inflammation of liver cells, usually caused by viral infection, ictericus- jaundice, preicteric-before jaundice. Posticteric- jaundice goes away. Chronic- can progress to cirrhosis (no functioning liver just scar tissue)
normally liver removes bilirubin and produces bile and makes clotting factors
bilirubin byproduct of breakdown of rbc
Pancreatitis NPO.inflammation of pancreas, autodigestion of pancreas due to something preventing pancreatic enzymes being released in the small intestine. Extreme pain in ruq, usually caused by gallstones, blood work with show inc amylase and lipase
Diverticulitis inflammation of outpouching
