| magnetic field line | a visual tool to represent the direction and strength of a magnetic field, showing how it extends in space |

| energy | the ability to make things move or change |
| kinetic energy | the energy that an object has because it is moving |
| potential energy | the energy that is stored in an object or system |
| convert | to change from one type to another |
