what is parts and things related to heart?? well lets find out!!
| Question | Answer |
|---|---|
| what is the Aorta | The aorta is a cane-shaped artery. It starts in the lower-left chamber of your heart (ventricle). the aorta passes through your chest and abdominal cavities and ends at your pelvis. |
| what is Left Ventricle | The left ventricle is the lower-left chamber of the heart that pumps oxygenated blood through the aortic valve to the rest of the body |
| what is Right Ventricle | The right ventricle is a chamber in the heart that pumps deoxygenated blood to the lungs to pick up oxygen. It receives blood from the right atrium through the tricuspid valve and then pumps it through the pulmonary valve into the pulmonary artery. |
| what is Left Atrium | The left atrium is one of the four chambers of the heart, located in the upper left side. Its main function is to receive oxygen-rich blood from the lungs via the pulmonary veins and pump it into the left ventricle for circulation throughout the body |
| what is the right atrium | The right atrium is one of the four chambers of the heart, located on the upper right side. Its primary function is to receive deoxygenated blood from the body and pump it into the right ventricle. |
| what is Coronary Artery | Coronary arteries are the vessels that supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle itself. They originate from the aorta and are located on the surface of the heart. |
| what is apex | The apex of the heart is the pointed, lower-left tip of the heart, formed primarily by the left ventricle. It is directed forward, downward, and to the left, and is where the powerful contraction of the left ventricle can be felt as the "apex beat" |
| what is Superior Vena Cava | a large vein carrying deoxygenated blood into the heart. There are two in humans, the inferior vena cava (carrying blood from the lower body) and the superior vena cava (carrying blood from the head, arms, and upper body). |
| what is inferior vena cava | The inferior vena cava (IVC) is the largest vein in the human body, responsible for carrying deoxygenated blood from the lower body, including the legs, abdomen, and pelvis, to the right atrium of the heart. |
| what is Pulmonary Artery | the artery carrying blood from the right ventricle of the heart to the lungs for oxygenation. |
| what is Pulmonary Veins | a vein carrying oxygenated blood from the lungs to the left atrium of the heart. |
| What is Chordae tendineae | Chordae tendineae are cord-like tendons in the heart, often called "heart strings," that connect the papillary muscles to the tricuspid and mitral valves |
| what is Papillary muscles | Papillary muscles are pillar-like muscles inside the heart's ventricles that connect to the leaflets of the mitral and tricuspid valves via the chordae tendineae |
| what is a Septum | The septum is the muscular wall that separates the left and right sides of the heart, preventing the mixing of oxygen-rich and oxygen-poor blood |
| what is Tricuspid Valve | The tricuspid valve is a heart valve located between the right atrium and right ventricle that has three flaps (cusps) |
| what is bicuspid mitral valve | A bicuspid mitral valve, also known as the mitral valve, is a heart valve with two flaps (cusps) that is located between the left atrium and left ventricle. |
| what is Aortic Semilunar Valve | The aortic semilunar valve is a heart valve located between the left ventricle and the aorta that ensures blood flows in only one direction, preventing backflow into the ventricle |
| what is Pulmonary Semilunar Valve | a heart valve that separates the right ventricle from the pulmonary trunk. |
| what is Brachiocephalic Artery | a major artery that branches from the aortic arch to supply blood to the head, neck, and right arm |
| what is Left Main Coronary Artery | The left main coronary artery is a major artery that supplies oxygen-rich blood to the left side of the heart |
| what is Left Anterior Descending Coronary Artery | coronary artery is a major artery that supplies blood to the front of the left side of the heart, including the left ventricle and the interventricular septum |
| what is Circumflex Coronary Artery | is a major artery branching from the left coronary artery that supplies blood to the left and back sides of the heart. |
| what is Left Posterior Descending Coronary Artery | coronary artery that supplies the posterior third of the interventricular septum and the posterior and inferior walls of the left ventricle |
| what is Right Coronary Artery | The RCA artery is the Right Coronary Artery, one of the two main coronary arteries that branch from the aorta to supply oxygen-rich blood to the heart muscle |
| what is Posterior DescendingCoronary Artery | The posterior descending coronary artery (PDA) is a major blood vessel that supplies blood to the back of the heart, specifically the posterior third of the interventricular septum and the posterior and inferior walls of the left ventricle |
