| magnetic field lines | a line that connects opposite magnetic poles and represents the strength and direction of the magnetic field |

| refute | to provide evidence that goes agianst a claim |
| energy | the ability to make things move or change |
| kinetic energy | the energy that an object has because its moving |
| potential energy | the energy that is stored in an object or system |

| transfer | to move from one object to another or one place to another |
