TermDefinition
Teres minor A small muscle in the shoulder that helps rotate the arm outward.
Flexor A muscle that bends a joint
Cell-mediated A type of immune response where cells attack infected or abnormal cells.
Adventitia The outer layer of connective tissue around organs like the esophagus or blood vessels.
Infundibulum A funnel shaped structure, often referring to parts of the brain or reproductive organs.
Coccygeal Related to the coccyx or tailbone at the bottom of the spine.
Vestibulocochlear Referring to the nerve that helps with hearing and balance.
Nervous system The body system made of the brain, spinal cord, and nerves that controls body functions and responses.
Sensory neurons Nerve cells that carry information from the body to the brain or spinal cord.
Trachea The windpipe; a tube that carries air from the throat to the lungs
