Bile salts Definition: Most essential component of bile; required for fat emulsification
Ileum Longest part of the small intestine
Kupffer cells Phagocytic cells lining liver sinusoids
Simple columnar epithelium Primary lining of most of the GI tract; specialized for absorption and secretion
Cementum Outer covering of the root and neck of a tooth
Mesentery Fan-shaped peritoneal fold attaching small intestine to posterior abdominal wall
Sublingual glands Salivary glands producing mostly mucus-type saliva
Hepatic flexure Right-side bend between ascending and transverse colon
