| eosinophils | 2-5% of WBC, in mucous lining of resp and digestive tracts, essential for immunity, helps regulate allergic reactions |
| basophils | 0,5-1% motile, contains histamine and heparin |
| lymphocytes | smallest WBC, second most numerous, NK cells, T& B lymphocytes important for immunity, T lymphocytes attack an infected or cancerous cell. B lymphocytes produce antibodies against antigens |
