| Convection | a type of heat transfer that occurs though the movement of fluids, which can be a solid, liquid ,or gas |
| Radiation | transfer of energy by electromagnetic waves that is the transfer that does not need a matter |
| contracts | matter cools and usually decreases in volume |
| Law of conservation of energy | Energy is transferred as it is never created or destroyed |
| convection current | flow of energy that creates a circular motion which causes winds and changes in the weather |
