During shoulder abduction, which muscles are the agonist and antagonist? The deltoid (middle fibers) is the agonist. The latissimus dorsi and pectoralis major act as antagonists
What is the difference between a tendon and a ligament? Tendons attach muscle to bone; ligaments connect bone to bone.
What type of muscle is NOT stimulated by the autonomic nervous system? Skeletal muscle; it is controlled by the somatic nervous system.
What is the main role of the lymphatic system? It returns excess fluid to the bloodstream, supports immune function, and helps transport fats.
What type of information does the dorsal root ganglion carry? carries sensory (afferent) information from the body to the spinal cord.
What is the main function of the choroid plexus? produces cerebrospinal fluid, which cushions the brain and spinal cord and helps maintain chemical stability.
Where are gustatory (taste) cells NOT found? And where are they found? No found On the inner surface of the cheeks (this is not a site for taste receptors). They are found on fungiform papillae, vallate papillae, and the posterior pharynx.
