What does the CNS enable you to do? Subconsciously regulate your internal environment by neural means
precentral gurus located in the frontal lobe, anterior to central sulcus
Parietal lobe site of primary sensory area including cutaneous sensory area
central sulcus separates frontal and parietal lobes
postcentral gyrus posterior to central sulcus
lateral sulcus separate temporal lobes post from parietal lobe
Occipital lobe Primary visual area, combines visual images with other sensory experiences.
Wernicke area responsible for ability to comprehend language and formulate words
chemoreceptors detect chemicals in the mouth, nose, and body fluids
Baroreceptors pressure- sensitive sensory receptors are located in the aorta
