TermDefinition
Pericardium It made up of fibrous tissue and has 2 parts, fibrous portion and serous portion of the heart and covers the vessels.
Pacemaker Has a normal heart beat of the heart when the heart is unable to do it on its own.
Lymphatic Vessels capillaries are present, lymph fluids has white blood cells and are important for the indicated an infection
Lymphatic Nodes located near armpits, neck, which work to drain the lymph fluid
Tonsils protective membranes in the back of the mouth
Phagocytosis the microorganisms are broken down by the body
Trachea connects the larynx to the bronchi also known as the windpipe
Thoracic cavity contains esophagus, trachea, large blood vessels, heart, lungs
Inspiration when the diaphragm is contracting or with the outside intercostal muscles
Hyperventilation when someone needs more ventilation such as oxygen to breath
