The Atomic Nature of Matter

What is inside the nucleus? Protons and Neutrons
How many electrons can the second shell hold up to? 8
What does the arrangement of electrons in the sheels dictate? THe atom's physical and chemical properties
How does the Periodic table list their atoms? It lists them by their atomic number and their electron arrangment
Where are electrons located in atoms? All around the nucleus in circular formations called shells
Who began with the idea of atoms? The Greeks in 400 B.C
How do are elements represented on the Periodic table? With a chemical symbol which is a letter or letters, with the first letter always capitolized
How can we tell the proportion of each kind of atom? By the chemical formula
