| Respiratory System | The system that brings oxygen into the body, removes carbon dioxide, filters and warms air, and helps produce sound. |
| Alveoli | Tiny air sacs in the lungs where oxygen and carbon dioxide are exchanged between air and blood. |
| Lymphatic System | A network of vessels, nodes, and organs that returns excess fluid to the bloodstream and filters out pathogens. |
| Lymph Nodes | Small structures that filter lymph fluid and swell during infection because they trap pathogens. |
| Heart (General Function) | A muscular organ that pumps blood through the body using four chambers — two atria and two ventricles. |
| Aorta | The largest artery in the body that carries oxygen-rich blood from the left ventricle to the rest of the body. |
| Endocrine System | The system that releases hormones to control body functions like growth, metabolism, and stress response. |
| Neuron | A nerve cell that sends electrical signals through its axon to communicate with other cells. |
| Central Nervous System (CNS) | The brain and spinal cord, which process information and coordinate responses. |
| Skeletal System | The body’s framework of bones that supports movement, protects organs, and works with muscles to produce motion. |
