| contest comp | active physical contest between two individual organisms for resource |

| predation | catching killing and eating of other organism |
| parasitism | two organisms living in close proximity of each other and one obtains its food from the other |
| symbiosis | two organisms of different species live in close association with another where both benefit from it |
