Prepositions in Spanish for location

dentro inside Los niños están dentro del aula. The children are inside the classroom.
detrás behind El jardín está detrás del edificio. The garden is behind the building.
encima de on top of El libro está encima de la mesa. The book is on top of the table.
en on / in La taza está en la mesa. The cup is on the table.
entre between El banco está entre los árboles. The bench is between the trees.
fuera out (state/exclusion) Estás fuera del juego. You are out of the game.

hacia towards (in the general direction Camino hacia la puerta. I walk toward the door.
