| Hormone | A chemical messenger produced by an endocrine gland and released into the bloodstream to regulate specific bodily functions. |
| Hypothyroidism | A condition in which the thyroid gland is underactive and produces insufficient thyroid hormone. |
| Hyperglycemia | High levels of glucose (sugar) in the blood, often associated with diabetes mellitus. |
| Pituitary Gland | A small, pea-sized gland at the base of the brain that releases hormones which control many other endocrine glands. |
| Adrenal Glands | Endocrine glands located on top of each kidney that produce hormones managing metabolism, blood pressure, and the stress response |
| Lymph Node | Small, bean-shaped glands that filter lymph fluid, trapping and destroying harmful substances like bacteria and viruses. |
| Lymphedema | Swelling that occurs due to the accumulation of lymph fluid in tissues, typically caused by a blockage in the lymphatic system. |
| Splenomegaly | Abnormal enlargement of the spleen |
| Lymphocyte | A type of white blood cell (T cell or B cell) that is a key component of the immune system and fights infection. |
| Thymus | An organ of the lymphatic system located in the chest where T lymphocytes grow and multiply. |
| Hypertension | Abnormally high blood pressure. |
| Myocardial Infarction | A heart attack, which is the death of a portion of the heart muscle due to an inadequate blood supply. |
| Atherosclerosis | The hardening and narrowing of arteries due to the buildup of plaque (fatty material) in the arterial walls. |
| Arrhythmia | An irregular or abnormal heart rhythm. |
| Cardiomyopathy | A disease of the heart muscle that reduces its ability to pump blood efficiently. |
