D2L Getting Started

D2L Brightspace Flashcards to getting started.

QuestionAnswer
What is the first page you see after logging into D2L? The D2L Brightspace Homepage (institutional landing page).
Where do you find a list of all your courses? In the My Courses widget or the Waffle Menu (Select a Course).
Which icon lets you check new announcements? The Announcements tool on the course homepage.
Where can you see upcoming due dates and deadlines? The Calendar tool or the Course Schedule widget.
What tool do you use to access course readings and content modules? (sometimes labeled Course Content or Readings & Resources).
Which tool shows your grades and instructor feedback? The Grades tool.
Where do you submit assignments? In the Assignments tool.
Which D2L tool do you use to take quizzes? The Quizzes tool.
What area displays your unread messages, updates, and alerts? The Notifications/Alerts icons in the minibar (bell, email, message icons).
Where can you update your profile and account settings? The Personal Menu (click your name in the upper right).

Use these flashcards to help memorize information. Look at the large card and try to recall what is on the other side. Then click the card to flip it. If you knew the answer, click the green Know box. Otherwise, click the red Don't know box.

When you've placed seven or more cards in the Don't know box, click "retry" to try those cards again.
