QuestionAnswer
What is the main function of the epidermis? To protect the body from germs, water loss, and injury.
What makes the fetal heart different from the newborn heart? It has shunts like the foramen ovale and ductus arteriosus to bypass the lungs.
What do osteoblasts do? They build new bone.
What is the main purpose of the myelin sheath? To speed up nerve signal transmission
What is the prime mover for inhalation? The diaphragm.
What is the function of the alveoli? Gas exchange
What do lymph nodes do? Filter lymph and help fight infection.
Where does digestion begin? In the mouth with chewing and saliva.
What organ makes bile? The Liver.
What does the small intestine mainly do? Absorbs nutrients into the bloodstream.
