| Assault | Unlawful act that puts another person in fear of imminent harmful or offensive contact, or an attempted physical attack. |
| Battery | Intentional, harmful, or offensive touching of another person without their consent. |
| Conversion | The process of changing or causing something to change from one form to another. |
| Damages | Physical harm caused to something in such a way as to impair its value, usefulness, or normal function. |
| Defamation | Damaging another person's reputation by making a false statement of fact to a third party. |
| Evidence | Any information or material presented to prove or disprove a fact in a legal case. |
| False Imprisonment | Intentional and unlawful confinement or restraint of a person without their consent and without legal authority. |
| Fraud | Criminal deception intended to result in financial or personal gain. |
| Intentional Tort | Wrongful act that intentionally causes harm or distress to another person or their property |
| Invasion of Privacy | Unauthorized intrusion into a person's private life or affairs, violating their reasonable expectation of privacy without consent. |
| Judgment | Ability to make considered decisions or come to sensible conclusions. |
| Negligence | Failure to take proper care in doing something. |
| Strict Liability | Legal doctrine that holds a party responsible for damages or harm caused by their actions or products, regardless of fault, intent, or negligence. |
| Subpoena | Formal court order requiring an individual or organization to testify or produce documents for a legal case. |
| Testimony | Written or spoken statement, especially one given in a court of law. |
| Tort | Wrongful act, other than a breach of contract, that injures another person or their property, leading to legal liability. |
| Trespass to land | Unlawful entry, remaining on, or projecting an object onto another person's property without permission. |
| Verdict | Decision on a disputed issue in a civil or criminal case or an inquest. |
| Witness | Person who sees an event, typically a crime or accident, take place. |
