| condescending | having or showing a feeling of patronizing superiority. |
| connotative | the emotional or cultural association a word carries beyond its literal, dictionary definition |
| culpable | responsibility for a fault or wrong; blame. |
| deferential | showing deference; respectful. |
| defiant | openly resisting or disobeying; showing defiance. |
| dismissive | feeling or showing that something is unworthy of consideration. |
| duplicitous | deceitful. |
| empathy | the ability to understand and share the feelings of another. |
| excluded | deny (someone) access to or bar (someone) from a place, group, or privilege. |
