fourth amendment search and seizure : protects from unreasonable search and seizure
fifth amendment right to a fair trial : protects accused criminals BEFORE court
sixth amendment speedy trial with counsel : protects accused criminals DURING court
seventh amendment trials to settle disputes : resolves disputes with a jury trial
eighth amendment protects from excessive bail and cruel / unusual punishment
ninth amendment individual rights not listed : ex : right to a free public education
tenth amendment powers to states: any power not given to the feral government goes to the states
