Variables

Three types of Variables

QuestionAnswer
Information gathered during a lab activity Data
Anything that can change the outcome of an experiment/lab. Variable
The variable that is changed by the scientist to test the hypothesis Independent Variable
The variable that responds to the independent variable. It is measured or observed for change. Dependent Variable
A variable that is kept constant (done the same) during the experiment so comparisons can be made. Control Variable
