Tetraplegia Caused by a spinal cord at level T1
Concussion Temporary change in mental status caused by head trauma
Cerebral contusion bruise on the brain that occur when the brain tissue hits the skull
Paraplegia Caused by a spinal cord injury below the levlel T1
Epidural Hematoma blood collects between skull and dura mater
Subdural hematoma Blood collects between the dura mater and the arachnoid mater
Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI, Head Injury) injury that affects the normal brain function
Intracranial Pressure (ICP) Pressure in the space between skull and brain.
Dysphagia difficulty swallowing
Rancho Los Amigos Scale a tool developed by the RLANC
GCS (Glascow coma scale ) a tool that health care workers
Cerebrovascular Accident (CVA stroke occurs when part of brain is deprived blood flow
Frail weak or fragile
Balloon Angioplasty open a blocked artery
Stent small coiled wire inserted into blocked artery
Deep Vein Thrombosis (DVT) formation of a blood clot ( veins in the lower leg)
