| POLYGON | A plane figure that meets the following conditions: • Formed by three or more sides (no two sides with common endpoints are collinear) • Closed figure • Made of segments |
| CONVEX | If a side of a polygon is extended, and it does not pass through the interior of the polygon the polygon is convex. |
| CONCAVE | If a side of a polygon is extended, and it passes through the interior of the polygon the polygon is concave. |
| EQUILATERAL | A polygon with all sides congruent |
| EQUIANGULAR | A polygon with all angles congruent |
| REGULAR | A polygon with all angles and sides congruent. |
| DIAGONAL | A segment that joins two nonconsecutive vertices |
| KITE | A quadrilateral that has two pairs of consecutive congruent sides |
| TRAPEZOID | A quadrilateral with exactly one pair of parallel sides |
| LEGS OF TRAPEZOID | non parallel sides of trapezoid |
| BASE OF TRAPEZOID | parallel sides of trapezoid |
| BASE ANGLES OF TRAPEZOID | two pairs of angles whose common side is the base of a trapezoid |
| ISOSCELES TRAPEZOID | A trapezoid with congruent legs |
| MIDSEGMENT OF TRAPEZOID | The segment that connects the midpoints of the legs of a trapezoid. |
| PARALLELOGRAM | A quadrilateral with both pairs of opposite sides parallel |
| RECTANGLE | Parallelogram with 4 right angles |
| RHOMBUS | Parallelogram with 4 congruent sides |
| SQUARE | Parallelogram with 4 right angles AND 4 congruent sides |
