QuestionAnswer
What is uniform circular motion Movement at a constant speed around a circle with a fixed radius
What is period (T) The time needed to make one full revolution
Define Frequency (f) The number of cycles completed in an amount of time
Define centripetal acceleration The acceleration of an object in uniform circular motion.
Define centripetal force When an object moves in a circle the net force moves it to the center of the circle
The velocity for a time interval Moves in the same direction as the displacement
Delta r Is the displacement of (r_1) to (r_2) during a time interval
Delta v Is the velocity vector (v_1) and (v_2) at the start and end of a time interval
Direction of acceleration Acceleration is always towards the center of the circle
Axis labels c is for centripetal acceleration, the other axis is labeled tang for tangential
Newtons 2nd law Newtons 2nd law will be applied to these axis dirictions
