1st Amendment Protects Freedom of Religion, Freedom of Press, Freedom of speech, Freedom of Assembly and the right to petition
2nd Amendment Deals with the state militias and the right to bear arms
3rd Amendment Prevent the military from forcing citizens to house soldiers
4th Amendment Prevents the unreasonable searches and seizures; authorities must get a search warrant before searing property
5th Amendment The Government cannot punish anyone without due process of law; anyone found not guilty in a criminal trials can not face double Jeopardy
6th Amendment Accused people have the right to an attorney, and if they cannot pay for legal services, the government must provide them. RIght to a speedy trial
7th Amendment Juries can decide civil cases; they usually involve disputes over money or property.
8th Amendment Bans "cruel and unusual punishments", which are often centered around the death penalty
9th Amendment Says that the rights listed in the Constitution are not the only rights citizens have
10th Amendment Recognizes that states and the people have additional powers that are not specifically mentioned in the Constitution.
