absolute value the distance the number in from zero on a number line.
additive inverese property the sum of any number and its additive inverse is zero

Distributive propert to multiply a sum by a number multiply each addend of the sum by the number outside the parentheses for any number, a,b, and c,a(b+c) = ab and a(b-c) =ab-ac
multiplicative identity property the product of any number and one is the number
multiplicative propert of zero the product of any number and zero is zero
opposites two integers are opposites if they are represented on a number line by points that are the same distance from zero but onppsites side of zero the sum of two opposites is zero
order of operations the rules follow when more then one operation is used In a numerical expression 1. evaluate the expressions inside grouping symbols 2.evaluate all power 3. multiply and divided in order left to right 4. add and subtract in order from left to right
